A worker for Allied Bros. Construction is in Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern in stable condition after he fell 20 feet from a roof and was hanging suspended by his safety harness. Injuries to Mariano Yupo could have been much worse had he not been saved by the device.

Ramapo Town Police, who responded to the emergency call on Estate Road in Montebello minutes before noon on Wednesday said Yupo, 23, appears to have sustained some kind of head trauma in the fall.

Ramapo Valley Ambulance and Rockland County Paramedics responded and transported Yupo to the hospital.

The Montebello building inspector and OSHA were advised and responded to the scene.
