A Cleveland Public Power worker was thrown from a bucket truck as he was working on power lines early Thursday morning.

The accident happened round 3:10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-90 just after the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive entrance ramp.

The truck tipped over into the woods along the highway, throwing the worker out of the bucket, according to a Cleveland police officer who witnessed the accident.

The worker landed on some railroad tracks and was able to crawl across the tracks to Carr Avenue, where he was picked up by EMS and taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.

The officer that witnessed the truck tipping over said everything was moving in slow motion and he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

It is unclear what caused the truck to tip. The right lane of I-90 remained closed for some time as the truck was righted and removed.
