It has been revealed through a latest report that two men, Gurpreet Singh and Parampreet Singh, have been jailed for a period of nine months. It has been found that the two have been accused of taking multiple health tests using identification passes of other people.

The report has revealed that the two men had taken health and safety tests by fraud last week. They had put the passes of other workers, which contained their own photos. It has also been found that the two fraudsters are foreign nationals and will be commuted once they serve their sentence period.

It was remarked by the Chief Executive of the CITB-Construction Skills, Mark Farrar, that it is a thing of glad that the staff caught the happening of an illegal activity. He also added that they would keep a strict vigil and investigate the health test fraud taking it on a serious note.

He told that health and safety tests are taken in order to ensure that workers have least level of health and safety as well as environmental awareness and its main aim is to increase industry standards.

Further, it was also found that both of the men pleaded guilty to cheat Luton Crown Court when it was realized by the staff at the CITB-Construction Skills test centre in the city that they had tricked in taking health tests. In addition to this, it is mandatory for the workers to pass the health and safety test so as to get a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, also known as planet operator’s card before going to the major construction sites.

“Proxy testing is self-defeating because it both endangers the lives of the people who solicit it and their colleagues on construction sites. Those who are found to be proxy testing will be reported to the Police and could face prosecution”, he added to the context.
