Police in Barron County, Wis., have recovered about $200,000 worth of trailers and construction equipment stolen in Minnesota.

Police executing search warrants Thursday at properties in the village of Turtle Lake and a home in the town of Almena located several stolen trailers and pieces of heavy construction equipment, according to the Barron County sheriff's office.

The larger recovered items included a Caterpillar excavator backhoe valued at $65,000 and a 2010 Bobcat skid steer valued at $61,000, the sheriff's office said.

Keith Duffee, 29, of Turtle Lake, is wanted for questioning in the matter. He currently has an outstanding warrant for his arrest, according to the sheriff's office.

The items were stolen in four counties in Minnesota and have since been returned, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said.

The thefts remain under investigation by the Barron County Sheriff's Department and law enforcement agencies in Minnesota.
