A crane operator was slightly injured on St-Denis between Viger and De la Gauchetiere when his crane tipped over at 1:15 p.m. Monday.
The medium-sized machine toppled when a support beam came loose or broke, shifting the crane's weight.
The toppled crane came down into a barricaded area. Two southbound lanes on St-Denis were closed, leaving just one lane open. Police were on site directing traffic while construction officials attempted to right or remove the machine.
Police will not investigate the incident, as it is work-related.
